Gerald E. Harmon, Jr.
Gerald E. Harmon, Jr. was born and raised in the South Carolina Lowcountry. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with his undergraduate and legal studies. While attending law school, Mr. Harmon earned a CALI award for his coursework in Constitutional Issues in Public Education. He served on the editorial board for the Journal of Law and Education and was a member of multiple volunteer student organizations.
In the South Carolina Air National Guard (SCANG), Lieutenant Colonel Harmon serves as the State Staff Judge Advocate for the SCANG. Lt Col Harmon has served in this capacity since May 2008. Lt Col Harmon enlisted in the SCANG in 2000 and served for eight years as an Intelligence Analyst with the SCANG and deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was selected as the SCANG Field Grade Officer of the Year in 2020.
Mr. Harmon resides in Pawleys Island with his wife and three sons and currently serves in various positions for various boards and charities. He is a licensed private pilot and enjoys spending time with his family, flying around the Southeast, and saltwater fishing with friends and neighbors when not in the office.
